a woman who hates Christmas falls in love with a Christmas-obsessed sociopath who truly believes in Santa Claus. I feel bad for the actor and like a bad person for saying this but there’s something not right about him. He makes my skin crawl. Genuinely shocked that he neither killed nor ate anybody on-screen. Can’t be sure he didn’t do it off-screen. He is so unsettling. I cannot get over how uncomfortable he made me. It’s like watching a Dexter Christmas Special. Apparently the leads are married in real life and their total lack of chemistry makes me worry she’s being held against her will. I have no idea how to rank this. It’s so deeply and profoundly and offputtingly strange. This is very clearly the worst Christmas movie of the year but it’s also very compulsively so-bad-it’s-good.
