at the risk of alienating my American friends: trying to watch this in one sitting, rather than via the traditional method of “in snippets over several weeks while focused on something else and not really paying attention”, revealed it to be deathly dull, relentlessly unpleasant, and honestly pretty hard to watch. Can’t recommend.
