This only qualifies as a Christmas movie because it’s set at Christmas – it has literally no other connection to Christmas.
I wasn’t expecting much of this movie, but it turned out to be a really lovely portrayal of a real romance: two older people with established lives, one in a really rubbish relationship, the other broken in his own way, falling for each other in a slow burn way that really just makes sense and fits how real people actually fall in love. It’s not exactly a classic but it is surprisingly great!
