WHAT THE FUCK DID I JUST WATCH. A semi-remake of A Christmas Carol with Ryan Reynolds, Will Ferrell and Octavia Spencer, which cost more than the GDP of a small country, and is about five movies at the same time: a mismatched buddy comedy, a musical, a broad ensemble comedy, a surprisingly sensitive exploration of the meaning of redemption and personal growth, and a heartbreaking story of teen suicide (mentioned here as the content warning the movie absolutely should have come with). Its baffling and too long and too many movies at once and God only knows why it exists but you know what? It sneaks into the top ten.
