a doctoral candidate in astronomy meets a cowboy while on the bus to New York to meet her corporate lawyer boyfriend for Christmas, with predictable consequences. It’s pretty good! The characters all feel like real people! They act like human beings! It is full of believable human interactions! In an incredible feat, it almost made me sympathise with the lawyer boyfriend even though he’s a bit of a dick. Almost. Briefly. Really surprised at how good this one was.
